JJoin the Movement!!!

On behalf of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Epsilon Rho Lambda Chapter, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Gamma Upsilon Zeta Chapter, we proudly announce that our 3rd Annual Race at Your Pace/Walk will be held at Methodist University at 10 a.m. on June 3, 2023.

Since starting the race two years ago, we have donated more than $20,000 to the March of Dimes March for Babies. Although we are proud of our achievement, there is still much work to do to support health equity for all mothers and babies. Sadly, the U.S. remains one of the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth and prematurity.

We hope you will join us for this worthy cause. Our goal this year is to raise $15,000. We will donate proceeds to the March of Dimes March for Babies and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. With your help, we can reach our goal and positively affect mothers and their babies.

Please feel free to contact the A2Z Committee directly at (910) 364-8700 or email at AToZRace@gmail.com with any additional questions.

Thank you in advance for your support!!!

A2Z Donates $12,500 to March of Dimes

Fayetteville, NC - (June 30, 2022) Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Epsilon Rho Lambda Chapter and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Gamma Upsilon Zeta Chapter, present $12,000 dollar check to the March of Dimes March for Babies today in a brief A2Z closing ceremony at Fayetteville Technical Community College. Ms. Michaela Penix, March of Dimes Director for Maternal Infant Health for NC, thanked chapter presidents and A2Z committee members for fighting for all healthy mothers and babies. She also commented the A2Z Race at Your Pace is the only Do-it-Yourself MOD race in the state of North Carolina. Also, our organizations can be proud of what we accomplished. Big shout out and thanks to our sponsors and everyone who supported A2Z. Because of you, this year's race was a huge SUCCESS.

Proceeds to Benefit the March of Dimes March for Babies

The A2Z Race at Your Pace is a fun run/walk that can be done at any time and any where. It is a great opportunity to join family and friends in raising money for the March of Dimes. For more than 40 years, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., and the March of Dimes have successfully partnered to raise funds to support research, advocate for, programs, and promote health equity for all moms and babies. Unfortunately, according to the March of Dimes, the “U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.” Because of this continuing need, last year our organizations hosted the Inaugural A2Z Race at Your Pace and donated $10,000 to the March of Dimes March for Babies.

“Whether you are a beginner or competitive runner or just want to support mothers and their babies, come out and join us, this walk/run is for everyone. Support to moms and their babies is even more important today given the COVID-19 pandemic and we want to do whatever we can to help families. As a mother of a premature baby, I understand the need for funds to support the March of Dimes.”
